Just out of curiosity I checked out prices and and availability. I chose the Quality Hotel Dublin City.

All worked fine except for one small missing piece of information.

At no stage does the website tell you where the hotel is! Now I know where it is but I don't think the average visitor to Dublin necessarily will.

How am I supposed to choose a hotel if I don't know if it's in a suitable location???

Final note: I did eventually find a link with directions, but that's hardly adequate.

I was just checking for the Dublin Hotel myself as I need to go at the end of June. Could you tell me where abouts it is?
    Thanks

im not affiliated with the site in any way,i wanted to book something for when my fiance comes over in the next couple of weeks.

i had no problem finding locations for the hotels once i clicked hotel locations on the bottom of the page,it even gave directions to them.

i guess if you have an issue with the site email them and say something.

i just thought it was good value and wanted to pass it on to whoever might also be interested

no pleasing some people i guess

    /rant over

The only thing inadequate is the extent you tried looking through the site for the location:rolleyes:

    Quality Hotel Dublin City

From North (Dublin Airport-12km) continue on N1 to city centre through Drumcondra and take exit for Gardiner Street/Parnell Square/ with signage for City South. Follow Gardiner Street for 1 km to Customs House and continue over river Liffey at Customs House Quay. Take Left along Sr. John Rogersons Quay for 1 km. Turn Right at Ferryman Pub at Cardiff Lane. Hotel is on Right hand side.
From South (Dun Laoghaire Ferryport 12km). At T Junction take a right and follow N31 and N1 signs to City Centre. This brings you to Ringsend Road. Continue 1.5 km up this road and then turn right onto Cardiff Lane. Hotel is on right left hand side.

From Dublin Port (2 km) turn left to first roundabout which is about 500 m. Take the second exit off the roundabout along the North Quays of the River Liffey for 2 km as far as Customs House Quay. Take left over Customs House Bridge and take immediate left along south quays for 1 km. Turn Right at Ferryman Pub at Cardiff Lane. Hotel is on Right hand side.

    Good find OP:)

I said I did find directions. That's not the same as a location when looking for a hotel.

I'd expect a hotel looking for customers to prominently state the area it's in, i.e. South Docklands, or John Rogersons Quay, or even Dublin 2.

Definitely not, checked if the dates I wanted were available, and 4 nights for me, hubby & kiddywinkle in the youghal hotel worked out at 212 yoyo. In June, no less.

I cant seem to get the deal. Comes up as a minimum of €53 per night in most hotels. Is there somewhere in particular on the site you have to enter.
