    Hey all,

Before I start ringing around to all the usual shops, has anyone been able to pick one of these up locally? They're cheap enough on the internet, but was hoping to get it sooner than later...

    thanks!

I think mine arrived in 2 days online from ebay, so not too long to wait. Having said that I do know ppl who have bought one in shops in Belfast and Dublin but I dont know where - but seems they are sold locally alright.

I got one in Jessops at the bottom of Grafton St., but that was about a year ago ...

Bought one in Camera Exchange last week for about €12 including good quality brush, lens cloth & cleaning solution. (Giotto Rocket cleaning kit)

I managed to get the q-ball blower from Pixels off Grafton for a tenner if anyone's looking...

The funny thing about most camera shops in Ireland is that you actually ask for the item they'll tell you that no one ever wants them and they've since been discontinued.

That's one someone in an unnamed shop that has the same name as a city in England said about ND filters. His alternative was to just use a polarising filter... what?

I haven't been able to find an ND filter in any shop I've tried (south east) - ebay it is :)

I once told in a shop, that shall remain nameless, that CF cards were discontinued as no cameras use them anymore.

The Galway Camera Shop, Sahara Camera (Vegas), and Jessops in Dublin all told me precisely that.

Must be a conspiracy to sell polarisers.

The blower should be easy enough to find. I got mine in Jessops, albeit up north, a while back. It cost about £7. I'd guess it's available in Jessops in Dublin, though you could also check the other regular suspects like Gunns, Camera Exchange, or Conns

i got one in Denis Macsweeny's Photo Shop here in Clonmel, they're not that bad actually, like if they don't have something generally they'll try and source it for you. Got my cleaning stuff from them.

I remember going into a camera shop in Waterford on the quays and the guy really just wanted me out of the shop like he couldn't be bothered - some sales technique!
    :)

You're not the only one. I got exactly the same treatment when I went in to buy something about a year ago. He couldn't wait to disappear off down the back of the shop to list to his radio. I won't be back in a hurry!

    Ah he's a joke. I've got many a funny story about Hennebry's.

He hates one of my mates. My mate went in and was quoted 11 euro for 800 speed fujifilm. I went in 3 minutes after and was quoted 4 quid.
