Considering it is possible to get one's skin analysed to see which skincare is the most appropriate for its needs, I would like to get my hair analysed to see which shampoo I should be using and how often. What are these specialists called and how much should one expect to pay for a consultation?

    Hair-dressers?

If you're talking about a general appearance issue as opposed to something medical like dandruff or hair loss, I'd say a hairdresser would be your best bet.

If you're really worried, perhaps you should consider a blood test to rule out a mineral imbalance before you go just fixing the outward manifestation of problem (if there is one).
I've never heard of a laboratory test designed for hair health.
