This has been posted in the Bad beat sticky at the top but since alot of people don't venture into that area of boards i thought i would post it up.

If they get it up and running and the database expands it looks like it could be really good.

Its kinda like poker tracker , Hud and a data-miner all rolled into one with a user freindly interface.

I know alot of you have said it seems a bit off ....... i wonder is this to do with the fact the auto rate rules are a bit off for 6-max - i am sure these could be changed.

If you watch the video it looks pretty impressive and listen to this

Q: How is the database maintained?
A: We have a large organized "farm" of computers working for YOU 24 hours a day! These computers are dedicated to collecting hand histories and player betting patterns. These files are processed and the database is updated every 5 minutes.

    Anyone using it ?

because it uses centralised or group collected data as opposed to just a single players collected data.

there was something like this before that was banned.

Just reading the forum and they claim pokerstars and party poker are the only 2 sites that have banned them. They do use a centralised database but the weird thing is if you join your stats are hidden to other PE players which dosent make sense because as it becomes more popular the less useful it will become. They say that youll rarely come across more than 1 other PE user at the same table.

Theres a free 5 day trial and pahud isnt working for me on full tilt at the moment so ill try it out later and let ye know what its like

Also they have an open forum which is encouraging as its makes it less likely theyre a scam

Just seen this in their FAQ

Q: Is Poker-Edge allowed by the online poker rooms?
A: Poker-Edge is allowed by the majority of the online poker rooms. However, PartyPoker (and it's skins), and PokerStars are deeming Poker-Edge as an unfair advantage at their tables. Fortunately, we have proprietary security technology in place such that the poker site has know way of knowing if you are using Poker-Edge, so they can take no action against you.

I suppose that makes sense. The more i think about this the more i think its better if it does get banned.

lol! I've tried dozens of players on that thing and the stats are way off over half the time IMO. Complete waste of time.

Eh, I saw the link in the bad beat sticky yesterday and clicked to check it out. I had it left open when I started playing on party and after an hour I got some popup saying illegal software has been detected on you pc. I rang them up and it turns out it was cos they deteced poker-edge was open.

From reading the forum it seems that a few people have said the same thing about innacurate stats, not that there false just that it dosent collect as much stats as they claim. They say they have a farm of computers collecting stats and then everyone who has poker edge open playing is actively data mining aswell but some users said that even after say a session against an unknown player at a table where the person is supposedly actively datamining, poker tracker would show 80 hands played by this person and poker edge would only show 70. I will say they seem to put alot of effort into support going by the latest full tilt problems but the lad doing the support dosent seem to have a great knowledge of poker judging by some of the statements hes making and also hes dosent seem to be 100% on some of the stats used in the software but then there may be some other people involved that understand that end of it.

I tried using it and i just didnt like it, a bit too messy and the bright red overlayed text is a pain on the eye, id much prefer poker edge however i didnt give it much chance like learning exactly what the stats mean and customise it to suit me and i mostly play sngs so its not that beneficial
