I've been messing around with my new cameras (S5600 and Lumix LX2) and I took this picture earlier

There's something nice about the picture but I can't figure out what it's missing. Anyone got any ideas?

Bit soft. I like the whole landscape illusion its going on, but its not big enough, the focus is too soft and the angle could be wider.

The background is disturbing, in needed plain dark background. Depth of field is too big, so there is no point in trying to find something.
I would advise you to lay your precious to something dark, open aperture as much as possible and focus for example to the numbers on volume knob.
Just give my eye something to focus on, to catch my attention.
Sorry to be so brief, however you are on good way so it would be useless to say only the good things. Go on, play with it and show us what you can do :-)
The guitar looks nice, hmmm..., I should take few pictures of mine too.

Hey guys, thanks for the comments. I only got my cameras on Wednesday so I'm still learning. Hopefully I'll be posting more and better pictures soon.

I'll see what I can do. Actually, maybe you can give me some comments on this:

It's nothing special but I just like it for some reason.

Good one. However... (I like commenting and not working...).

It looks grainy - try lower ISO setting. And also the bacground - there is bright spot just above the bridge.

Aye, I noticed the graininess of it. Again, that's me still trying to figure out the camera controls :p The white spot is a door  Really must start thinking about backgrounds.

You don't need backgrounds, just see the whole picture already in viewfinder. don not focuse only on the main subject. It can save you a lot of time.
Think, look, capture, post and enjoy the "wows" :-)
