my boyfriend and i have known each other for a year and a half. we were together briefly before and we are now back together again this past week.

i am a very jealous person and have just found out my man is going away for two months with his best friend who is a girl.

am i unreasonable in not wanting him to go?

i am 21 and he is 23 in case yous wanted to know

You're a bit light on the details of your relationship - but it sounds as though you haven't really been going out that long. You don't have much ground to stand on in asking him not to go, if you ever could have any ground.

Either you trust him, or you don't. I'm not the greatest fan of guy-girl best friendships as I usually believe one party (usually the guy) often has at least at some point an ulterior motive. But you can't be at his side all the time...you will need to let him out of your sight at some point. It's not unusual for someone to go away with their friend. If you make a big deal out of it you might be heading for another break...

To not want him to go because you're in the beginnings of this new thing with him and you'll have to put that on hold to a certain degree for two months - perfectly reasonable.

But there's no way any sane person could even begin to think it remotely reasonable to actually object to a "boyfriend" (after one week the term deserves scare-quotes) going on holiday with a friend.
