I'm a student and am having awful trouble finding a part time job just for evenings and weekends I could work upto 20 hours a week I've never had any previous emplyment. I've recently had a few interviews but no calls back to say I got any jobs. In the interviews I've had no problem answering questions and have done nothing to suggest why I shouldn't get the job.Now its coming up to the summer and I could work full time for a few months. Yet for the best part of a year I've been trying to get a job and had no such look.

Anyone have any ideas about what I could do to improve my chances or shed any light on why I might not be getting any call backs?

What type of jobs are you looking for?

The only thing I can think of that could be hindering you is the fact that you've got no experience. Have you ever done work experience through school or college? If so maybe ask for a reference and put this on your CV.
Keep knocking on doors though, eventually you'll get something. Try not to be too fussy at this stage though, even if you take a job and leave after a month or two, you've got something down on your CV.

Always dress smartly for interviews as first impressions count. Hope this helps
