We got ours in airport. We were first off plane so we got visa's first. Turned around and there was a long line up. They do not seem to speak much English so there was lots of confusion. THey should hand out forms on plane so people have them filled in.

Airport is not that far from Sharm El Sheikh. Gas is very, very cheap so taxi's are cheap. On a day trip the van stopped at petrol station and it took 5 Euro to fill it up! No problem to bargain with them.

Watch out for men waiting outside. They will try to carry your bags for you for money!
Enjoy and do a quad bike trip to the desert and the snorkeling/scuba diving trip!

I was there in Feb, you only need a visa if you're going to leave Sinai (any trips to anywhere else basically) so don't waste your $10 on a pointless visa unless you plan on doing a few excusions.

Taxi's are cheap but if you want one that doesn't smell like there may be a dead camel in the boot ask to hotel to arrange a pick up, it will probably cost you 3 times as much but you will get air con!

The airport is allright, not whole lot there except secuity. The egyptians love to have lots of pointless queues and forms for tourists, but its no big deal.

Nightlife is a bit weird, there are a few clubs full of crzy russians but plenty of ok-ish bars around, the casino is ok too.

Hope you like snorkelling / diving, great place for it
