    hi,

anyone know of a good free MMORPG? I've tried WoW and travian but I hated them,I like anarchy online and I'm looking for something like that(futuristic stuff).

    A proper 3d one,no java based stuff?

    thanks

Anarchy Online. The main game and the first expansion are completely free to play.

    Agree ! :D
Excellent game and no online fees
Both expansions (though they can be played without original) are also excellent :D

Youd prob get normal GW for about 25 euro :)

And the focus isnt on levellign up to the highest level...skills play a part. You will find yourself..if you give enough time..that youll have 4 Lvl20 (highest level) characters of different races..instead of 1 lvl 50 or somethin likfe WoW :o:D

Lvl 20 is also reached easily..within 15 hours id say

    Is it really that short?

No wonder most people don't consider it a proper MMO.

    RappelzEpic 3.

Hardly futuristic, but still a good game.

    Well...yes

It dont take that long to reach the higher level..20 is the highest:eek:
BUT...most of the game HAS to be played at that level:rolleyes:
The focus in GW is to use Skill and your skills gained and teamwork to win...not just some High level character who can kill everything:p

You get 4 character slots, and choose between 4 professions (2 extra professions in Factions, 2 other in Nightfall)

You choose a primary race, then a secondary..so theres lots of variations to play with :D

Meaning you dont have to play as a Warrior for 1000 hours and not reach level 70 and not find out what it was like to be a monk or whatever :)

    Did i mention..no online fee's ? :p

    space cowboy

it's a free korean jobby, you fly around in a space ship type jobby shooting down critters and there's PVP in it as well, the combat is qwuite well handled and the levels are quite diverse, it's completely free to play, but you can buy special items etc if you really want to

it's fun, community isn't too bad either, although the guild system is a bit shabby, trading works well, as does crafting - even if it's a bit fiddly, but game play is pretty cool since there's a real skill to flying your little plane around and blowing up giant insects and dragons (as well as other players)

Silkroad online. It's about as good as WOW in my opinion and looks better. However, I only base that statement on the 5 days I played WOW for.

I'm not quite sure it fits into your definition of a MMORPG, but I would easily rate Wolfenstein:ET as the best online FPS I've ever played, including those you have to pay for. Make sure to DL the 2.60b patch if you decide to give it a go!

Ultima Online has loads of freeservers now and is by far the best for pvp.

It's old though, and certainly not Joystick compatible. (Why would it be :P)

Really? was it always free monthly fees when it first came out or was it just a recent addition?

Also Shadowbane, an oldish but decent enough MMORPG is now free to play and boasts the best PVP combat of any MMORPG to date. Worth checking out at least.

No one would use a joystick to play an MMORPG,

Specially one that's like "a wii controller"

    Troll

Its very functional for shooting and clicking and its suprisingly accurate besause its home made.
I also have a hacked dance mat,I have the switches in parallel and connected to serial port and have software changing the movements to w,a,s,d.
Its really fun playing anarchy online
