About to order the Dunlop Hendrix Wah pedal from thomann, I see it needs the power supply which thomann have for €20, can I just use my own variable adapter with it or does it need to be the proper dunlop one?

    Thank ya

nope doubt it, but the problem with JD wah's is where u insert the pwoer cord, theres an awfull lot of plastic surrounding it, making it hard to get the power into.... and u might notice the JD pwoer supply cords have slightly longer plugs (if u get me) so they can fit in to the wahs,

i tried to use a normall boss PSA and a daisy chain but the plastic got in the way of the cord inserting properly

alternitvaly u can chisel a bit away at the wah, but i dont recomend that...

i used to use a battery since they last quite long in wah's once you unhook the leads when ur not using it.... ive moved into the JD DC brick so it works aok now

Thanks al, ya know we'll have to find the man who made us use - and = . Yep, i'm talkin bout Al :D

Seriosly though, I got the adapter added to the order so will save on shipping.

Alot of the reviews I've read said that the Dunlops drained the batteries quicky.

When you say disconnect the cables, do you mean the cable going the amp/guitars or the cable going to the battery?

    bastids!

but just unhook from the wah itself, just make sure theres nothing in the input/output jacks of the pedal, thats what actually lets the pedal know its on, and once u plug some jacks intot he pedal its gona be using battery power, same with any pedal, but i find wah batterys can last me months once you unhook them

but like i said i use the dc brick now so thats the end of that!

    im sure it'll be aok

Thats cool, won't be so bad anyway with the adapter, but handy to know if I ever use a battery it wont drain in 5 mins.

    Cheers
