Everbody wants to rule the world...

Ok, am not thinking Bush here, but God...

If you were God, how would you rule the world? (Athiests' will have to suspend disbelief here...).

Would you change the way God does things?

Do you think you could do a better job? (Images of Bruce Almighty aka Jim Carey springing to mind).

If Heaven, (Nirvana, perfection) exists, how would you decide who gets in and who doesn't?

What would you do with those who didn't 'make it' to Heaven?

Anyone interested in ruling the world...?

Gosh! What a thought. I would absolutely hate it, because you get blamed for everything.

Someone's friend ignores all your instruction to the contrary, gets drunk and drives their car into a wall at 80mph, and then they all say, "Why did PDN let my friend die?"

You go to all the bother of getting crucified to try to help people get into heaven, then they reject your offer and call you a sadistic monster who sends them to hell.

In one generation your followers get tortured by the Inquisition as heretics, then a few centuries later your followers get blamed for the actions of the Inquisition.

    No thank you!

God Himself does the best job of casting judgement on those in our world today. I as a completely fallable being couldn't do anywhere near the job God does.

Does your worthlessness not allow you to offer a more constructive idea?

I'd stop a lot of the fighting and abuses and general crimes going on so people can focus on better things in life. Anyone can acheive enlightenment, in whatever ways, so as long as they get the chance to, I'm not going to judge them. There'll be no hell.

I don't think I'd like to be a god though. So much good karma too hard to get :D

What an assumption? Did I say I was worthless? What I am saying is this. God told us not to judge others, if we did not want to be judged by Him. Can't remember the verse reference. How can I judge the one who is going to ultimately judge me in a thread like this? In addition to that, Human beings are part of God's creation and it is a Christian belief that we as Christians have been filled by the Holy Spirit. If we are filled with the presence of God Himself, and if He the Creator has given us our abilities, which we as human beings should be proud of.

I'd dissolve organizations which require exclusivity and special clothing as two conditions of membership. This would knobble most religious organizations, and, of course, all the world's militaries.

Isn't that a nice thought to start the weekend off on? :)
