    Thanks rickjames.

He probably would have won anyway but Fedor was totally cheating by using the ropes to stuff Lindlands takedown.

Well i don't know he was "cheating" seemed more like reflex thing. And he didn't seem to grab the rope seemed just that his hand was on the rope. Great reversal though.

Grabbing the ropes happens really often and it is human reflex mostly.

I disagree. Wanderlei Silva has won fights using the ropes as balance for his foot stomps. The cheat. It boils me blood, so it does.

i say let them hold the damn ropes and end this type of bull****.

While fedor may have only been able to reverse the throw becasue of grabbing the rope, i don't think it mattered. Lindland couldn't get Fedor off him at all and thats without Fedor throwing a single punch (except the one that made lindland turn and give up the arm). Lindland was never going to win if he couldn't even regain full guard on fedor.

I thought part of the reason for the ropes was so the fighters can't generate enough power to do serious damage with the foot stomps? Is that not the case?

*edit- Though I suppose if they changed the rules, it wouldn't bother me as much.
