    hi,

Can anyone recommend a career guidance consultancy that put you through psychometric testing, aptitude testing ... etc ?

Ive been working in Software development for going on 3 years now and ive kinda never felt any real passion for it and to be honest i want a career path that isnt reliant on one industry. I suppose i'm thinking long term, although im on good money, conditions, good prospects etc now i'm afraid 10 years down the line of being forced to retrain because all the real development, analysis, design etc has moved abroad. I have no idea what i want to do and want to keep an open mind for when i see a career guidance consultant. any thoughts?

Theres a book what color is your parachute which is worth borrowing from the library. Job security isn't what it used to be with the global market etc. So you always have to keep your self employable.

exactly i dont want to pigeon hole myself into one specific area. Its sad that in some ways i enjoy what i do but unfortunately there are limited jobs available in Ireland in the area im in. To be honest if i want to go any further im looking at management and i dont want that yet
