Random shutdowns

After a year of loyal servitude, my macbook pro has finally decided to become iffy with me. It randomly shuts down from time to time. Even when there is still an hour left in the battery, and once even twenty minutes after a full charge. Anyone had any similar experience? Or know anything about it?

Installed any new RAM recently?

I've heard of this problem with Macbooks but there was supposed to be a firmware update that fixed it. You should have gotten it in Software Update.
