PS3 Online setup help

Hi all,not sure if this is the proper place to post this but here goes:

I'm sharing a wireless broadband connection in my flat and yesterday just got a PS3. I want to use the PS3's online capabilities but dont want to go changing my landlords WEP key or anything.So I was wondering if I made another profile on my own laptop,would it affect any of my flatmates passwords/connections and would the PS3 pick my new profile up?

Sorry if this sounds like complete gibberish but its the best way I can try to convey it! Any help greatly appreciated

I don't really follow your post, but just enter your Landlord's WEP key in on your PS3 and you're away.Sorry if that's no help, maybe someone else can see your problem in your post.

Thats the thing,he wont give it out,I was just wondering I set up another profile on my laptop with my own WEP key would it affect anyone elses connections. Thanks though.

well no, not really

like you need to know the WEP key to connect

like what will making a new profile do, you will still need the WEP key on that machine

scroll down to when you see 'Wireless-specific encryption cracking - tools for gaining access to protected wireless networks. At the moment include WEP crackers, WEP-encrypted traffic injectors and practical implementations of attacks against certain 802.1x types.'

download one of these to find out the landlords WEP......personally i haven't used any put they are what your looking for.

or you could just go to your router settings using your laptop and get the wep key?
