Drummer wanted for mad musical experiment ('Heathen').

    Hello all,

    I am at the moment writing and arranging material for an absolutely unique musical project. The name of this project is 'Heathen'. I am a bass player and vocalist. The material I am writing is built around bass, drums, some synth, and of course, vocals. No guitar at all, except for one track. This project is mostly a fairly melodic endeavour, though there are some harder parts (still melodic parts, played with distortion). I am looking for a drummer, preferably based in Dublin, though other places could be considered if it were worthwhile. I also would need the person to have their own space, unless they were willing to travel to my house outside Navan, Meath someday of the weekends.

    I do bass/vocals in dEvolution (http://www.myspace.com/devolutionmusic). Heavy band. This project, 'Heathen', is truly something else, though. So those songs you can find on the dE myspace won't really show you style of Heathen, but it will show you quality of music I can write. dE also has mainly screaming vocals, but I plan to just sing for Heathen. My singing on dE songs, when there, is okay, but I have been improving my singing since. I actually do have one track partly recorded (doesn't sound great, a bit dead sounding, but the music is quality), and I can send this to whoever requests it out of interest in trying out.

    You'd want to be coming from a background of appreciating experimental music for this. You'd also want to be able to appreciate almost any musical style.
