Muay Thai Interclub Fights.

    Hi all.

If anyone is interested in coming down to the Bridgestone gym next Saturday afternoon of the 21st April. Bridgstone will be holding their first Interclub novice fight for first time fighters or guys with mayby 1 fight or so. Unlike the Armageddon show this is fought under the amature rules with full protection ie: Headguard, Body and shin guards so guys will not get as many bruises as you might in the pro ring so is a good place to start off at for novice fighters.

There are about 15 fights on the bill with fighters from 4 Dublin gyms and two of the cork gyms. Fights start at 2pm sharp and should be finished by 5pm ish.

There will be a spectator charge of 5 euro and all proceeds will go to one of our fighters who had a bad leg injury while fighting in the UK. He is self employed even though the insurance will pay him something this is never adequate with the price of mortgages etc so it will help somewhat until he back fully fit to work. There will be some seating but mostly standing but should still be a good show.

Venue: The Bridgestone Muay Thai Gym,
    side of 11 Arbour Place,
    off Stonybatter,
    Dublin 7.

    Regards,
    Paul Kelly.
    THE BRIDGESTONE GYM.

Sweet. I'll be there (once I can get some time off). One of the lads I used to train with told me he was fighting (don't actually know the lads name :o). At the time I asked him if people could watch but he didn't know.

    Hope Derek's healing well.

    Sorryy jtl,

But no booze allowed, only a novice interclub. You'll have to wait for Armageddon 8 in May to get a drink while watching fights.

    PK.

I actually can't make this. :( Family commitments and airport taxi duties. Would have been nice to meet you Barry. Next time.

Was at a training session last night and /all/ the lads were talking about this. Sounds like the attendance will be good.
