    Hi guys.

Im a mac user and I play occassionally on pokerroom.com with play money. Its good craic.

Id like to play for real money but dont have a credit card. I really like to try to keep things as simple as possible to be honest, and the whole netteller thing seems a bit of a PITA.

Id especially like to play on Paddy powers because some friends of mine play there, but unfortunatly they dont have a java option, just the Windows Client.

I have a 3v card, but then again the worry is, will a site only allow me to enter in one credit card number?

Also, Is it possible to deposit or withdraw with Paddy powers by physically walking into one of their bookies?

So what do you think are my best options?

*set up a netteller account and use a java site
*install windows on a partition with bootcamp/parallels
*buy a cheap PC for poker

Please no flaming the mac owner/online poker noob, Im just looking for some tips.

    Hi
Paddys wont accept 3 v. you can deposit in the bookies shop and withdraw by cheque.

Why not give Boylesports/Prima poker a shot? The app is far less gimmicky than Paddy's and you can deposit and withdraw from any of their shops with some ID.

    Hmm kool.

Being able to deposit and withdraw in the bookies makes more sense to me than faffing around with Netteller and relieves one of having to have a credit card, which could be dangerous if you like a bet!

Ill work on getting Windows sorted.

Netteller job though. I really wanna avoid that.

I think Ill stick to play money on pokerroom, until I get Windows sorted for PPP/Boyle

3V won't allow you to deposit to "gambling" sites.
Neteller's not that bad. although I'm not sure if you can deposit to it from 3V. I called and asked and the guy told me that if it's a gambling site it won't pass, but he couldn't tell me if it was listed as a gambling site or not. He didn't seem to understand the concept of what Neteller is.
You can deposit to Neteller from your bank account.

The best Mac client out there is undoubtedly Full Tilt. It's fully featured - if it's on Windows, it's on the Mac.

If you partition the HD on your Mac with bootcamp, don't forget you'll need to but a copy of Windows. It's still cheaper than buying a PC. Don't forget virus protection. "What's that?", I hear you say. :D

You can bank transfer to neteller and then from neteller to Full tilt poker who have a downloadable mac client. I've used it. it's nice.

I also have parallels with windows installed with pokerstars and an ipoker skin which both work fine but it takes up an awful lot of ram, especially if you're running another windows app like pokertracker or PAHUD. boot camp is probably easier on the ram and better if you're not going to be using any mac apps simultaneously.

I got Paddy Powers installed and working with CrossOver, but its still a bit jittery. Ive a 160 gig hd so Im probably gonna install Windows on a 20 gig partition.
