i'm having a problem connecting my pod xt live to my desktop for the first time lads, basically its connected by u.s.b. from the back of my pod(which is turned o btw) to my computer, line 6 software(monkey)is not reckognising that it is connected to the computer,

there is THAT classic windows sound that a usb device is connected and windows offers to install it but of course windows can't do this it has to be the line 6 software

i tried re-installing the monkey software but same thing again

when i go to 'connect to device' and click on pod xt live it doesn't do anything

now its obviously not the fact that it hasn't been reckognised by windows or that the proper software isin't installed

    so what could it be

and by the way they are the most up to date drivers also

    any ideas at all???

Hmm, that's very odd indeed. Are you connecting straight to the PC with the USB cable, or is there a hub?

They'll probably ask you every question imagineable, OS version, drivers, etc, but i'd say you'll get to the bottom of the problem eventually. Just one of those frustrating computer problems i'd guess, i cant see there being anything wrong with the POD itself.

you can download all programs and drivers on the line6 site anyway.

It's a known problem. It happened to me but I can't remember what I did to fix it. :o Look at the Channel 6 Forums under Pod XT Drivers. That will give the solution you seek.

this is it if ye care to know...............

'The drivers are in the Gearbox installer. Just download Gearbox 3.1 and run it - follow the on-screen directions for when to plug in the device. Then Windows will see it again and install the drivers so it's ready to use. '

ya must be common enough alright so

have to say its some piece of equipment and worth every cent, i'm still playing with the presets, the purple haze solo sounds amazing through the headphones so much so that i said i'd learn the whole song now:D , i think every guitarst(especially lead guitarist's) should have one of these babies, really looking forward to recording with this also + downloading artist patches from www.customtone.com

only thing that i don't like is the sound that i get through my amp, seriously thinking of not upgrading to an engl screamer 50 and getting one of these babies www.atomicamps.com

now i know the reviews on harmony cantral are pretty crap in general cos the reviewers don't have a clue a good part of the time but this seems to be the Consensus across the board on the net
    http://reviews.harmony-central.com/reviews/Guitar+Amp/product/Atomic+Amps/Atomic+Reactor+212-50/10/1

only one small thing...........haven't been able to locate them in europe for sale yet:confused:
