Teak Door & Woodgrain inconsistency

The woodgrain in our new Teak door is inconsistent in the two bottom panels. The Left hand panel is all dark grain and the right hand panel is light with a dark horizontal strip through it. .... It is very obvious.

I mentioned this to the guy installing and he just said it would match up once its stained. How can it? The dark side would only get darker, right?! What do you guys think? Dont think the panels can be removed - door would have to be dismantled.. Help!:( :(
