Quickie question tho which I'd like answered. The trailers make the film look like it's primarily a kids movie. Is it? Or is it suited to both adults and kids cos nostalgia makes me want to see this but I'm not wasting my time and money on a totally tubular cowabunga turtles movie made for 4 yr olds.

    define kids film?

Cause its as good of an action film as most pg13 action films that are thrown at us on a daily basis by hollywood. And the humour for the most part isnt *cowabunga dudes*

But it doesnt have hidden ineundo's for adults only, and the violence never gets bloody.

So this is not a reboot. It's a sequel to the live-action films ?

its a sequel to the second cartoon series, but it lines up to almost exactly where the second film leaves off (there is a nod to the second film in the final scenes)

the only difference is the role april O neill isnt a news reporter but works in antiques.

What?? How do they work her into the story if she is not a reporter.

in the cartoon she was baxter's lab assistent when he built the mousers...but throughout the series she opened a buisness selling antiques.

which directly ties to the plotpoint of the film.

She was a news reporter in the cartoon, not a lab assistant.

in the SECOND cartoon series (the one I said the film is a continuation of)

ok sorry , my bad. I only ever watched the one where she was a reporter in a yellow jumpsuit. Is the second series that celshaded one that has been on tv fopr the past year or two?

its the reboot of the series...dont know if its cel shaded*, but it does have a more anime feel and is closer to the original comic books then the first series.

(there have been many crappy spin offs of both series, so the cel shaded one your thinking of could be one of them.)

Its defo aimed both at kids and people who loved the early ninties show .Much darker feel then most kids cgi and if i was twelve when i saw this it probly would have changed my life .I loved the way April wasent used in the same way females are in these kinda things .Casey also looks cool .The guy who directed it must love the source material cus he realy gave it socks .spoiler: Raphel falling from the outside of the building outfreekin standing .
