twin LNB or Sat Splitter

    I currently have one FTA receiver and am looking to install a second for another TV. Can anyone recomend if I should use a twin LNB or a Splitter. I'd like to keep the number of cables running up to the dish to a minimum so the splitter seems to be the best option but I'm not sure if this will cause a loss of signal quality

    Also can anyone recomend a good second reciever pref one with HD TV capability
