Hi all, after much consideration, I have decided to propose to my boyfriend.
His 30th birthday is coming up this June, and I'll be surprising him with a trip to Amsterdam. While there, I will be popping the question (with a watch instead of a ring - thanks for the ideas boardsies)

Thing is, I haven't a clue what way to do it.

    Any suggestions?

when I proposed to my gf I wrote a poem about our life together with the last line asking her to marry me. It was personal between the two of us, romantic, and unexpected.

If you decide to do it this way, it will take a lot of effort. Think about the good stuff in your life together, write it all down, and then try to write a poem about him and include all the good stuff that you have written. It won't be easy, but it will be worth it...

In my case, wife sat on my lap, asked "Do you want to get married?"
    "yeah, all right"

Didn't need more, really. Words were enough.

    NTM
