Not too bad of a price, slightly cheaper on Amazon.co.uk (if they only shipped to Ireland).

The map quality on them are absolutely excellent. TomTom is one of the best GPS systems around at the momemt. On the Pc World Site they are €400. That is just a website price as far as I am aware.

Im not suprised it is. It is excellent value. A lot of the GPS systems that are sold in the likes of Currys only have maps for the Uk and Ireland.

The TomTom uses TeleAtlas maps, I think if you do a search of the various threads that have discussed sat nav, it's a unit which has the Navtec maps that are the ones to go for the best Irish coverage.

If you still want the TomTom One Dixons and others in the UK do it for £179.99, the same price give or take as iBoods. Check on Pricerunner. The regional version with Irl/UK maps only, is cheaper again...

Tom tom One Europe uses Navteq maps. Tom Tom One Uk and Ireland uses TeleAtlas.

I've used both of these tomtom maps and imho the Navteq are superior - both seem to know most roads, but only the navteq version knows the names of the smaller roads and estates etc.
