i know i could go to google or the man / the woman in an apple shop and ask about a good mouse for my imac, but i said i would ask some people in here first

Anyway the mighty mouse---i dont like it. the little ball keeps sticking sometimes and i cant scroll up. Its amazing i always wash my hands before i go near it cause i know dirt can make it stick, but it still gets dirty.
My question " WHAT MOUSE DO YOU USE AND IS IT GOOD"

i remember when i got my first computer a dell windows '98 i hated the mouse and one day i was in a computer shop and i just mentioned it to the man in the shop and i ended up buying a mouse i loved, it never gave me trouble and it never got sticky.

my mouse goes sideways --left, right and down no problem. but trying to scroll up sometimes the ball does not seem right and the page will not go up and the ball will not move in a nice way.

Have you tried cleaning the mouse? The scroll ball on mine stops working occasionally too but a quick clean usually fixes it. Disconnect the mouse and try running the scroll ball back and forth over a white sheet of paper. And try blowing into it to get rid of any dust.

It is annoying I'll admit but I still love the mighty mouse.

Mine stops working also, but now that I am used to the MM I need it or I go insane. :)

I just rub the wheel quite hard with a sleeve or something, always works for me.

You could just use an ordinary PC mouse, and you will get the right click features ,which is cool. I have tried one on a G4 iBook.

Hold the mm upside down. take a lint fee cloth - whatever that is - but a piece of kitchen towel works and dampen very slightly. I usually dip it in a few drops of water. rub the wheel while upside down gently and it should be fine.

    price you pay for style

i'd stay away from wireless (RF) computer stuff, there just horrible to use, sometime you get delayed responses, i use an apple bluetooth kboard and (one btn)mouse, although the mouse is a little heavy on batteries so i also use a cheap 10e 3btn scroll wheel pc mouse. although i do love the mighty mouse's nipple

Mighty mouse is amazing. I love it. The only other mouse I would buy though is *sigh* Microsoft. They make some good mice (if its the only thing they do right). The wireless laptop ones are great too but stick with your mighty mouse and an apple keyboard.. Looks so much better

I nearly threw that mouse in the bin about a month ago because of the sticking scroll wheel. I tried the "turning the mouse over and running a wet cloth on the wheel trick" but that never worked. So, I went online to see if I could find a solution and I did. Sad Professor's right, turn the mouse over and roll the wheel on a clean piece of paper for a couple of minuets. It's a strange way to clean it, but it total works.
