    Hey guys,
Im having a bit of trouble.

Im looking for a hotel in London, to stay while im sight seeing, for around maybe £70-£80 a night. I just want very basic, nothing luxurious or fancy, but somehwere I can feel safe and get a nights sleep. Can anyone recomend anywhere please?

It doesnt have to be right dead centre in the middle of London, Ive no problem just hoping onto a tube, and getting a train into the attractions.

    Thanks a million in advance:)

Ah go on ya cheapskate, spend a little more!

I normally stay in Jurys Kensington. Great hotel within easy walking distance of the major Museums and Harrods, and can get rates of between £90 and £120 per room depending on time of the year and if you haggle nicely.

Generally, I wouldn't stay in any hotel in London that I didn't have recommended to me, there are some awful and expensive dives about the place.

You don't mention when you are planning to stay, that can make a difference as well.

I have stayed with https://www.travelodge.co.uk in Covent Garden because of the central location, I think it was around £90stg.

    Try www.premiertravelinn.co.uk

There are loads of them all over london. Clean and inexpensive (relatively of course!)

I can highly recommend the Ibis on Commercial Road (right over Aldgate East tube station) - very modern and well equipped. I stayed in the Travelodge Liverpool St which was the same money but quite run down and understaffed. My brother in law has just stayed in the Travelodge Covent Garden and was delighted with the location and thought the hotel was good value. I go over and back to the UK with work and am amazed at how much hotel rooms have gone up by. I used to pay £70 a night in Jurys Islington - it is now regularly £130!!! It is worth shopping around for a good rate - i find www.hotelclub.com very good.
