    Athletics is not just for elite athletes.

    Many people are happy just to get out for a run to stay fit, get some fresh air, or in my own case, stay out of trouble.

    To this end, Athenry AC are proud to announce a training group for beginners and joggers.

    We'll get this started with an 8 week programme, that leads up to the Women's mini Marathon.
    That said, everybody is welcome, Male and Female, including those who don't wish to take part in the mini marathon.

    Full details follow:

    Athenry AC MEET and Train group.

    For beginners and joggers.
    For anybody who wants to start jogging or running.
    Ideal preparation for the Mini marathon.
    Experienced runners will help you along.

    8 week program.
    Every Saturday Morning from
    April 14th - June 2nd

    Meet at Athenry Church Car park: 10am
    Duration: 1hr approx

    Cost: € 15 [includes Club membership]
    Come along any Saturday morning and try it out!

    Participants will also take part in the County Galway 5km series.
