Check out www.call13434.ie it allows you to make cheap overseas calls from your mobile. You will have to call a Dublin number at normal rates (could be on your included minutes, depending on what price plan your on) and then you dial through, most European countries are just half a cent a minute!

If that doesn't suit many of the Internet cafes and call shops sell phone cards, you just have to shop around to find the cheapest rate to your preferred countries...

You can walk into any local Spar or most shops and ask for an international calling card, most of them come in €5, €10 and €20 demoninations... I used to ring England and Portugal a lot... and they came in really handy for me... I used them through my mobile and got good value but they are much better through landlines. Got 3 hours out of a €5 calling card to an English landline once...

Go into any shop and they will have a range to choose from. However, ignore the posters with the rates. I laugh when people insist on reading the rates and going by them. In the small print it says rates are correct on such and such a date. This means the rates could have doubled and it is entirely legal. The only way to find out the true cost is to ring them for the latest rates.
