I need to get from cuzco to la paz as i have an onward flight from la paz.

The flight i had booked to do this has been cancelled as LAB have gone out of business, the only option i can see at the moment is flying back to lima to get to la paz but this takes a whole day practically.

    Is there a train? Bus?
how long does this option take? what does it cost?

Should i scrap la paz altogether? Where would you recommend to go?
I have a week before my outbound flight from lima.

    Thanks

You should be able to hop from Cuzco to Puno, then Puno to La Paz ... that would take a whack of time I'd imagine, I did Cusco to Puno and it takes the best part of a day.

i bussed it from cusco to copacabana in 1 day Got an early 7/8 bus to puno that stopped by a minibus station then on to border and taxi from border to copa it took about 12 hours i think to get there but we lost our windscreen on the way copa to la paz isnt too bad but you probably would be too late to get out that nite and definitely is worth a stop at isla del sol

Hi, we bussed it from Cusco to Copacabana on Lake Titicaca, cool place, day tripped to Isla del Sol. We stayed about 4 nights, then went on to La Paz. Personally, I hated La Paz and couldn't get out of there soon enough. I found the air so dry my lips went numb after a walk about. I got a really bad sore throat ! Moan moan moan ... we were supposed to stay about 4 nights but only stayed two and got outta there, over to a place called Santa Cruz, east bolivia. I did not feel safe in La Paz. In saying that we did a day trip and it was interesting, and the witches market was cool. We were making our wasy over to Brazil so it made sense to see La Paz on the way. If I were doing it again I would just stay at Titicaca. All the best.
