    Any one know who does it?

    I've tried catching it on the credits but havent seen it yet.

    Well I presume you know who wrote the song since it is the same song for all the other seasons,but as for who sings it,I heard they got a bunch of Baltimore street kids to sing it.

    According to David Simon it's sung by some Baltimore schoolkids. See here.
    The HBO site also lists the music from each of the episodes of season 4 - example.

    I thought there was different theme music for each season. I had a big gap watching each season so I must go back and double check

    It's the same song but sung in different styles by different artists each season. My least favourite was the Season 4 version.

    I knew they at least sounded different and thats what put me off. Season 4 is my favorite. Season 2 I dont like

    Season 2 opening theme tune is the original Tom Waits version ...and the best imho ;)

    Ye sorry,I meant the actual song is the same,but there are 4 different versions of it,one for each season.
