Possible weekly Boards STT/MTT?

Just an idea; would be a good way for everyone to learn and get advice.

It may also have been suggested before, but if not maybe we could try and get something going? It's an alternative to the HU for bankroll idea we had before, and less costly than the BCOOP.

I'm not sure which networks allow users to set this up, but maybe the GJP lads could do something on iPoker?

I personally think that there'd be a fair demand for it.

$5/10/20? It's open to suggestion, as this is just an idea at the moment and it may come that everyone's gonna shoot it down!

My br is currently just over $100 so I'm not exactly a high roller!

Count me in upto $50 although i dont mind playing lower. I dont mind where we play either, Stars, GJP, Full Tilt all good.

Maybe if possible put aside a percentage of the winnings and build up to a monthly heads up. For example if you were to play a $20 tourney per week and we got 30 runners that would be $600 prize money per week. Take 10% of that to be kept aside in a kitty and at the end of the month the top 2 performers from 4 stt's in that month would play off heads up for the approx $240 prize money.

Just an idea although with these ideas usually they tend to spiral out of control with lots of different ideas so its good to agree on some sort of format as quick as possible and then see whos interested.

I think you have to apply for permission, or have certain frequent player status. There used to be a regular boards game on stars on a sunday night, league table of results and all.

I think you have to apply but they accept pretty much anyone who has ever played on Stars.

Is it possible to set up sngs with passwords whereby once the table is full the tourney starts rather then applying tourney by tourney or what have you.

Anyone from GJP around care to comment? Should I contact Bluesq today or would that be just the same as GJP?

Would people prefer a SNG or FO? Or is there even much difference?

I'm thinking $20 buy-in to start with, thoughts?

Bear in mind, I'm quite new here, and therefore I'm not sure how comfortable you are with me possibly taking the lead here; maybe it'd be better if an admin did it? I don't mind either way, as sure there's not that much that has to be done.

Anyway, if you're reading this and interested, please give your thoughts/ideas.

I'd say if you can set it up go for it, and post details in this thread. If people turn up then great, if not then you will know people aren't interested. I don't think it matters who sets it up or takes the lead since the payout will be managed by the pokerroom anyhow.

Yep, as long as you have collected 2000 FPPs throughout the accounts lifetime (includes those already spent) they will approve it.

Yeah especially with all the big football coming up over the next few weeks on Wednesday, Thursday, Saturday and Sunday, So Tuesday sounds good. Ill post a what day thread now with a poll so we can try and get this up and running and let Mike start organising hes end. Im sure wants we have the day we can haggle about the time.
