Anyone looking forward to this sequel to Nightwatch? Or maybe someone here has already seen it as I see its already released last year in Russia.

I found the first film to be an enjoyable piece of fluff :) And then checked out the novelization which was just painful to read - im not fan of first-person writing style :/ The sequel film is actually based on the latter half of that first novel rather than the original Day Watch novel.

Here's the trailer (hard to believe the film cost only $4.2mil !!!)

Out in the US on Jun 1st and October in the UK & Ireland.

i loved nightwatch............saw it the day it came out in ireland by pure accident no idea it was subtitled or anything

hope the new bigger budget and hollywood studio does not mess up the sequel i think its meant to be a trilogy

Didn't like the first one that much at all - it's a rare criticism for me, but there wasn't enough action, and the storyline was fairly incomprehensible.
This looks like it could be better - although the original trailer suggested a completely different film than what it actually was.
I'll definitely go and see this, but I think I'll keep my hopes low.

I definitely preferred the second installment... they both dragged on way too much though.
It's well worth a watch anyway, I'm almost tempted to get a copy to re-watch without the horrible subs that I had to put up with...
judging by the ending of the second one, a trilogy is out of the question

I loved Day watch, saw it over a year ago. I may watch it again. Dusk watch is the 3rd movie, its due for release in russia soon. Can't wait! Hope somebody comes with subs more quickly this time!

I enjoyed it although it was a little dragged out and the editing wasn't great - mind you I've noticed a few bits in the trailer that weren't in the version I saw so maybe they've improved it a bit. Still a crackin' movie either way!

I loved Nightwatch. Made for the catering budget of the Matrix sequels, and packing more ideas and innovative effects than most big budget Hollywood films.

I was going to watch Daywatch sometime ago but decided I'd wait for proper subtitles to be released.

Looks good but couldnt help laugh at the premise of a 'chalk of destiny'!!

    Great trailer.
Night Watch was ok. Looking forward to this.

Was the voice over Christopher Lee?

First one was birlliant. That trailer looks very cool but that bit near the end with the car on the side of the building...? Ugh.

Really enjoyed the first movie though the plot did feel like it was built around the cool set pieces the film included. Loved the blatant Nescafe coffee product placement as well... brilliant.

The Daywatch trailer looks great, I liked the bit with the car, it's completely bonkers like most of Nightwatch.

Nightwatch really divided opinion but I loved it. I think the Daywatch trailer is excellent!

Is the film in English this time? Or was it just the narration in the trailer?

It's in Russian. Dusk Watch the final part is being filmed in English.

The narration on the DVD was in English but then dialogue was in Russian. More than likely the same again.

Hmmm....clearly it's been too long since I watched it!

It really lends it self to repeat viewings.
