Dragged out?

Hey,
I watched Lost from the very beginning and I must say I really think they should **** or get off the pot.

Last nights episode for example one Sky One Kate

wakes up with an other hand cuffed to her arm and she doesnt bother to ask her what the **** is going on. And now she s coming back to camp with them and bet ya they wont ask her a god damn thing.

Like come on. give us something, anything. Everytime the get close to finding something they dont.

And how about

Locke blowing up the Communications hut. Kate and Sahid confront and then nothing, they just go on.

I m not saying it should end but they should at least get back on track about finding out WTF is going on.

I really liked the show at first, but I'm getting really frustrated with it...:mad:

I'm not asking for much - just a bit of resolution now and then. Is it true there have been a big drop in viewing numbers?

The flash backs were cool at the initial stages - to set up the characters, and the like - but know they seem to be mostly used as just episode fillers.

I'm beginning to wonder if they really have a decent plot sorted out at all.

It's a pity, as it was a really good show when it started...

I agree with the "whiners". I started watching season 3 but stopped 'cause I know they're not going to reveal anything so what's the point?
At least Prison Break and 24 will pose questions and give you answers.

Because prison break has so many mysteries? :rolleyes: (I would include 24 there but I don't watch the program so I wouldn't know).

Lost is a MYSTERY show - the whole point is that nobody knows WTF is going on. If all the Losties knew what was going on it would be boring as fuck. I gotta hand it to you - at least you stopped watching. The only thing worse than whiners is whiners who keep saying they're going to stop watching and then you see them on here next week complaining about the following episode.

I think it is ok to say something slightly negative against the show. The thread started with somebody feeling that a show they have loved is going downhill by being dragged out.
There wouldn't be much point in the board if everyone just kissed the show's ass and said how great it was. If something is annoying someone, they can say it.

I loved the first two series, but am also getting frustrated with the third series - more in the knowledge that there will be a fourth, fifth and probably even more. It is obvious that when it started it was a one series, two at max show. It's succes has forced the writers to extend the life of the show and it does feel dragged out.

It is more like a soap opera than a mystery show now and viewers feel obliged to watch it as they are more locked into the characters than the plot(s) at this stage . I'll continue to watch it, but it doesn't realyl excite me anymore. I think they feel they can throw just about as many red herrings in as they want as it won't matter come the end.

I understand what you are saying, but what annoys me the most is the fact the people come here and bit*h and moan and then say they want 5+ seasons. I have been saying for a long time now that the more eps they add to the show, the more dragged out it will feel. We need closure on certain points and plots and I feel when the writers give us a tiny bit of closure, even on small items, that will keep people happy for the time being.

I love the show but I am still hoping for only 4 seasons MAX.

I second that sentiment entirely. We know we are not going to see any real closure this season, and I think a lot of fans of the show will wait until the end of the fourth season. Personally, I think anything after this is verging on an insult to the fans. A lot of people will disagree with this, but most great shows know when to call it a day and move on to pastures new.
