Will it be open tomorrow? Is it still 3 euro a wash? Haven't been in since it was redone.

    Will it be open tomorrow?

Yes, although I couldn't guarantee that it will be open after 7pm - a lot of college gates follow weekend times on a Bank Holiday, so the access gate behind the Chapel may be locked/swipe disabled at 7 rather than 10.
Is it still 3 euro a wash?

Yes, although you have an option of €3.30 "super cycle". Silly price, given that it doesn't take 10c coins!
Haven't been in since it was redone.

It's quite cramped now! Think is 16 washers and 16 dryers, and they are stacked around the walls.

Don't use dryer 12. It just tumbles your wet clothes without the heat.

Anyone know of any other machines that aren't up to scratch? Also ones that definitely do work. Maybe we could compile a list. Save people going through the horribleness of still having wet clothes at 10pm

I know for instance that dryer 1 works fine

Did you report it? Surely they all should be working after only a week of use?! I know of one dryer that definitely works, it's the fourth one in on the right side, not sure of the number though.

I can't remember which # dryer I used but it worked grand. I did mean to ask - am I just being thick or is there no way of putting in 2 50 cent coins at once so it dries your clothes for 40 mins instead of 20, as opposed to waiting for it to finish and then starting it again? I did that once and it just took my money and still only did 20 mins. It's a bit annoying having to walk to the launderette and back to put more money in, especially now there isn't any space to sit down inside with a book.

You can put in two 50c coins, or even a €1 coin. Just press the appropriate button on the drier once for each 50c, so twice if you put in the value of €1. This will then make the drier operate for 40 minutes. The display will keep flashing until all the money has been used.

Oh OK thanks. Must have been a dodgy machine or something last time. I'll give it a go!
