Can any one recomend a program (preferably free!) for organising, rating etc divx's . Also does any one know of a program that generates a list of all files and folders in a directory and has an output like a txt file? Cheers

If the DviX is in an AVI container & not it's own .divx container then Windows Media Player 11 will give you the ability to manage and rate the videos in it's video library section.

If you are using the .divx container I don't really know of any programs that do the above you may want to ask in DivX own forums.

As for the txt output not sure really there is software out there Google is worth searching, there is a useful tip here to generate a txt file list of any folder by creating custom entry in the context menu which could take a lot of the work out of the job.

Winamp supports the output of playlists in HTML files. If you import your DivX and XviD files to a playlist, you can then export them and view the files through a browser.

For the text file, open up command prompt, and cd to the directory you want to list. Then run 'tree /F' (no quotes), which will display a list of all files and folders below where you are.

if you run 'tree /F > output.txt', then a file called output.txt will be created in the folder you ran the command from, with the same output as in the screen above.
