Thinking of going to electric picnic but would have to bring one-and-a-half year old with me.

Anyone done this? Was it okay? What facilities were there etc. etc.

    Thanks!

You COULD do it but I dont see it being easy or enjoyable. Theres lots of bottlenecks where you might find yourself very constricted when moving from place place with a buggy. Also the site is extremely loud in places and it might be hard to get a baby to sleep in that environment. Youd have to bring pretty much everything yourself in terms of food and supplies for the child and I didnt see any mention of changing rooms or anything like that for children. Most of the adult toilet facilities were pretty lacking so even attempting to use them to change a child would be anything from unpleasant to dangerous.

The only way Id recommend trying this is with a campervan and even then allow for the fact you cant really see the majority of the stuff because you'll have a child hanging out of you and most things are in very packed tents full of drunk and drugged people.

I'd have to second that. While there were quite a few kids around last year I think an lot of them were in Campervans. The campsites aren't great for kids.

I saw some babies there last year, prob in campervans or hotel/B&B nearby.

I am thinking of asking my parents to follow me down for the day, one of the days, so we can see our son for a bit and not have such a break from him.

Myself and the GF are looking forward to Picnic this year, that we would not ruin the festival for ourselves by bringing a baby into such an adult atmosphere.

Who wants to heat a bottle over a campfire, change nappies in a tent and feed their baby barbeque foot-long frankfurters, all whilst hungover??
