Irish Open Cash Game, 1/2 blinds

    Effective stacks ~200

    Weak player limps in MP.
I raise to 8 from the CO with AQs (Could have raised more but didn't want to scare away the limper)
    BB Calls
    Limper Calls

    Flop Q T T rainbow

Check, ckeck, I bet 20, BB raises to 50, MP folds

    I call

    Turn - A

    Check, Check

    River 3

    Check, Check.

Should I have been betting for value here somewhere?

Bet river. Flop looks like a checkraise bluff by villain.

However some may advocate checking in that theres fairly few hands that you beat that will call river

    What about flop and turn?

I would check that flop myself though betting it it isnt bad. Seeing as you bet the flop, you should check the turn almost always. Your hand and that board isnt one that can extract 3 streets of value. I would check the flop, bet the turn and bet the river. As played, bet flop, check turn and bet river looks good.

Amazingly almost the exact hand happened to me online 2 night ago. Flop Q99. I bet 75% of pot, he check-called, I checked behind on the turn Ace and the smart bastard checked the river to me and re-raised my half pot bet. He had A9. I'd been playing LAG so I think he probably didn't think I was as strong as I was. Hate that!!!
