Network booting

    Hi,
I'm kicking myself as I write this for not being more careful. I used to dual boot windows XP and suse linux, but I repartitioned my hard drive so windows could reclaim the disk space used by linux recently, because I wasn't using linux much.

I was careless when I got rid of linux, and now grub is giving me some hassle: it reports "Error 22" and freezes when I try to boot up. Normally I would boot from a disk and try "fixmbr" at the recovery console, but the problem is, my CD drive is busted. I'm using a laptop which doesn't support booting from USB, so I think my only option is to do a network boot to boot into the recovery console.

I've done a fair bit of googling, but I can't find any advice on how to do that.
    Any suggestions?

You'll need a PXE server to boot from the network

Alternatively, see if you can find a Live Linux Media Center cd. That acts as a PXE server out of the box.

Ok, I've been working on this for the last four hours and I've got absolutely nowhere. If anyone lives in Dublin and thinks they know how to fix this, I'd be happy to pay to get it fixed.

Failing that, does anyone know of any good PC repair centers?
