Are restaurants allowed to sell alcohol on this most rediculous of days? Most of their profits come from the overpriced plonk they sell, so I'd imagine if they can't sell it, but still open today they'd be running a loss...

And what's 'good' about it if you can't even (legally!) buy a drink??

I tend to go to restaurants for the food so amn't too bothered if I can't drink at them. They can't sell alcohol today, nowhere can.

Bit late now, but you can BYOB to most places and they will charge corkage.

You can buy a dart ticket at Connolly Station even if you have no itention of using it, and this entitles you to drink in the Oslo Bar in Connolly Station. I've never tried it as I've never found myself that desparate. I presume you can get booze if you're a hotel resident as well.
