Graduate Entry GAMSAT Exam

    Hi All

Just wondering if anyone sat the GAMSAT exam for graduate entry to medicine in Sept 2007?

If ye did, what was it like? Were the sample papers representative of the actual exam? I'm giving serious thought to trying to get into medicine by this route. I have a B.Sc (Hons) and by the end of this month I will (hopefully) also have a PhD in cell biology. Has anyone here with a PhD applied to a course? Did they tell you to bugger off?

In the UK where grad medicine has been around for quite a while now, plenty of PhD's apply and get onto the course. I'd reckon a lot of applicants have post-graduate qualifications.

I hope you got good points in your leaving cert though, because those f*cking goons in UCD also take that irrelevent exam into consideration for grad medicine too. If you have a first in your B.Sc but under 400 points, you can't even apply.

Thats hardly fair! The whole "no longer depends on orbital LC scores" thing is a farce then! Got 435, we're talking 10 years ago though!
