Polished marble for kitchen floor ?

I am considering using 60x60 Crema Marfill marble floor tiles for my kitchen and like the polished finish as it goes well with the kitchen cabinets. A few people have advised me against using polished marble in a kitchen as it will scratch and show traffic marks after a while. They say a honed finish is best for the kitchen. Does anybody have polished marble in their kitchen for a while and how well does it wear ?

I'm sure that quality marble would wear well.
Personally, I wouldn't go for a polished finish.
Spillages could lead to a nasty accident.
