Woah! Awesome for him! I've said for years that he's the exact type of guy who could easily go far in WWE, he's got everything that's needed. Glad I got the chance to meet him a few weeks ago now. I suppose this means that the WSX wrestlers are all free to sign with WWE or TNA now. I'm gettin excited about a Punk vs Cabana match now, it's been too long since the last one!

I wouldn't be so quick to jump to conclusions. I don't see how you'd think he'd be better off in TNA at the moment, all he'd get would be a minute for some skit every week and a gimmick match at a ppv. I wouldn't be confident about any newcomer to TNA right now. His style suits what WWE likes to put on their tv shows

There's the possibility that WWE wants him to use his Matt Classic gimmick though. That seemed to be one of the most successful things to come out of WSX. I wouldn't be too confident about that, there's only so far that gimmick could go without very good booking I think. I'd love to see him team back up with Ace Steel in OVW for the moment

2007 is going to be a big year for ROH with all these changes too

This can only be a step in the right direction for the WWE. One of many as of late. I have never seen him wrestle, but i've heard good things and if he wrestles 'WWE style' then he will go far. Congrats Colt!

At WM weekend? He was doing the ROH shows in Chicago at last year's WM weekend! Do you mean the Heat matches he did? Just thinkin about that now, he used Ace Steel's real name for those matches, I heard at the time it was because WWE thought his name was too similar to Carlito's Cabana. I suppose that won't be an issue now, unless Carlito starts his interview thing up again

Awesome! Hopefully he gets his old Cabana gimmick, Good Times, Great Memories would be great on Smackdown. I wonder how long he will spend in OVW or DSW? The eventual Second City Saints reunion is going to be awesome!

I wouldn't actually say he'd be in developmental that long, his style already fits into WWE's style more than Punk's did and he's more talented than most of the guys already in developmental, plus he's already had a load of tryout and dark matches. And he's a big guy! Maybe creative won't have anything for him for ages though, which would be near impossible, you could stick him into anything and he'd entertain you

Yeah, i meant the Heat and Velocity matches he was in around the time of Wrestlemania and the week after mania. And of course not forgetting Colt being one of Taker's druids last year at WM

I saw that punk and cabana match that fozzy posted up and it is one hell of a match...hopefully we will see more in WWE

Some great clips there. I love that cage match with Aries, it has the best ending to a cage match ever.
The rap thing with Pearse is great too, when Pearce is good, he's great! I see Colt's last match will be against Pearse in their hometown of Chicago.

I really hope that the WWE doesn't make Colt Cabana a whipping boy getting beat by the likes of Snitsky or any other big stiff ass wrestler. They should send him to ECW to team him up with CM Punk and the newe breed!
