Yep, tries and tested method. Dropped my r1200gsa last week after attempting to move it with a disc lock and there was no trouble picking it up like that.

I have dropped mine twice :o , not a lot of fun picking it up.

I heard a rumour of a PDF from BMW giving their recommended method.

I have never dropped my bike... And I'm wondering, is that because it's a small Bandit compared to your big Pan's, GS', Africa Twin's?

would love the chance to try that out, the transalp went over in the wind about a month back, I didnt stand a chance of lifting it up myself (with me facing the bike) so had to get a friend to give a hand, I had my gt650 go over on me once, I was backing it up and 1 of my feet slipped on some wet leaves, I used a 2 car jacks, one on top of the other to get it most of the way up and the rest was easy

I presume so. I never dropped my zzr, had it at some weird angles but I would away catch it. With the Adventure, if ti is going to go that is it.
