Five handed, blinds 1000/2000 200 ante. I'm in BB with 42k after posting, folded to Gholi on button with 50k stack who makes it 8k.
    SB folds, I have 2d3d.

    Who pushes?
    Who stop n go's?

I did one of the two, and I reckon the other move would've been more profitable, particularly against Ehsan.

The reason I'm not considering folding is because there's 12k in the middle and Ehsan's range is huge here.

If I had to pick one, (even though I'd rather just fold) I suppose I'd have to go for a push. This isn't a great hand to stop and go with.

how can one be more profitable than the other?

I didn't want to pass up the opportunity to add almost 30% to my stack. I feel this gets through enough to warrant it.

with 20 blinds I think either move is bad, allthough pushing less so. If you call his raise theres only 20k out there, you have 32k behind. You could just bet 15k if you miss completely and fold if he pushes.

His range may be wide, but theres no harm in letting these spots go from time to time, especially when you have 3 high.

Eshan will call a push with most PP's and broadways, where he may lay down to a stop n go.

Because gholi will react differently to both. For example he is never folding AK preflop, but he may fold it post flop. Also if he has 44 he might not fold it preflop, but he may well post flop.

    stop n go !!!!

there have been so many times when i kick myself for not doing it.

i believe that there's a much higher probability that he misses the flop than folding small pp's AJ etc preflop
