Hi, I'm planning to get a 97-99 Nissan Primera, going to look at a few this week. Anyone know of anything in particular I should look out for? Thanks.

make sure the stereo works. also the buttons on the remote keys have a habit of wearing out, so make sure at least one of them works!
apart from that just the usual stuff. Also check the gearbox and clutch, as these have (and still do) give trouble on 1.6 models.

Faulty ABS sensor on the wheels is also known to be troublsome on that model Primera. When you turn the ignition on the ABS light should come on for about 10 seconds and then go off. This is the engine management system doing the startup diagnostic. If the ABS stays on contantly then there could be a faulty ABS sensor on one or more of the wheels.

I haven't heard about any of the above. Only thing I've heard and experienced is the weak control arm bushings.
