Redirecting URL's

I have launched a new website:

www.irishmediaguide.com

I have another site which is basically the same which was developed 3 years ago:

http://homepage.eircom.net/~irishmediaguide/

The pages on the old website have high rankings on most of the main Search Engines.

How can I redirect from the old url's to the new ones without losing my Search Engine rankings?

Eh, don't use a META redirect. Use a permanent (301) redirect, otherwise your content will get indexed twice and you could get blacklisted from Google. Permanent redirects tell Google that the content has been permanently moved.

I don't think Eircom webspace supports .htaccess... though I could be wrong

You could put the redirect in the head of the document - it depends on whether your URL's are friendly or if Google is indexing .htm extensions.

Eircom use Apache (Unix) servers.

What 301 code should I use and where exactly should I place it in the document.
