    The Samsung drive is probably the quietest.

    Though the SE16 is probably the best performer but there are all pretty close to each other anyway.

    personally, i'd recommend the WD. I've never had any problems with them in the past, they run quiet and cool and support AAM for turning the seek noise down.

    BUT, in saying that the Samsungs might be quieter however i've never used them.

    I'd steer clear of the Seagates if you want silence, I have 2x250GB 7200.9 drives and their seek noise is louder than my 2 raptors.
