They've a new notice about purchasing from the US site on cdwow.us (was a favourite bargain tactic of mine!):

    Please note:
This site can only be used for purchases made from the United States or Canada. To view CD WOW! for your country please select a flag below.

Thanks for the link, I missed that article. The court judgement is very bad news for all music buyers in Europe. The record company trade body BPI, are very arrogant and foolish I my opinion, from the article:

"The music industry trade body, the British Phonographic Industry (BPI), said the ruling sent a warning to other companies that imported CDs from outside Europe."

Why should the BPI decide where music retailers source their supplies? Where and how music retailers source there supplies is none of their business. Import and export policies are the subject of agreements between democratic, independent sovereign governments, it's not for the BPI to decide who imports what. They're interfering in the marketplace, and attempting to control the import and export of goods, between countries.

The BPI is in no position to warn anyone about anything. They've been getting away with maintaining price differentials between different markets for years, and keeping the price of CD's artificially high. Profiteering by millions from music buyers worldwide. Of course they'll end up paying for their arrogance and short-sightedness, because this judgement will encourage more people to refuse to pay the high price of CD's and switch to cheaper on-line music download services and peer-to-peer file sharing. It's no wonder the sales of CD's in most countries are falling.

I pretty much stopped using CD Wow after they stopped letting us order from the Hong Kong site (saved a lot of money doing that). Must have a browse again.

Also savings to be made by shopping on the US site, the notice about only being for North American customers has gone. Go to www.cdwow.com and click on the American flag on the top left.
