i tried ordering it again ,just incase but i cant this comes up
Our records indicate the entered Certificate of Authenticity has previously been used for upgrade

maybe giving them a ring, they might be able to confirm the order, or check your email for an order confirmation if they send one out

have been thinking about should i pay for the upgrade. thing is i only have xp home so the cost is a bit of a rip off at 52euro to upgrade to vista basic. cant really see why it should a more expensive upgrade than th other versions.

don't really think its worth it at that price so won't be going for it i think

Did you try checking the order status?

    https://www.dellvistaupgrade.com/orderstatus.aspx

That said, if you can get through to their customer service, it would probably be better.

dell.ie customer service only seems to be available week days im afraid. link

I wonder if someone who doesn't want the upgrade could give their Service Tag to another person to get it?

If so, could you please post all your spare Service Tags here!!

Plus don't forget to look for a refund for NOT installing the new Vista when you get it!! (See my other thread for details: http://www.boards.ie/vbulletin/showthread.php?t=2055071803)

Never mind the title, this could become the biggest Bargain Alert yet! :D:D

How much does upgrade cost from XP Media Center Edition to Vista equivalent?

    Thanks

Edit: Forget it. Got my laptop way before the dates mentioned in first post!

Thanks for the number, I suppose I just need to ring them up and say "I want to upgrade to Vista, can you give me for a spare Dell Service Tag?" :D
