    hi all

I am almost ready to get my first jazzmaster,

heres the lowdown on my options

I can get a 62 reissue on thomann for 640ish
    I can get a 66 reissue on ishi for 550 (+ 25% duty)= 687
I can get a 66 reissue on ishi (with the sexy block inlays and bindings)
    for 640 (+duty) =800

Bad pics of the 66 reissue: Scroll down for block inlay versions

    Thomann's 62 reissue:

    So heres the questions:

    Important question...........
Are the domestic CIJ fenders different to the thomann ones? better/worse
    any info appreciated,

Question I dont expect anyone to know.......
Are the differences between the 66 and 62 just cosmetic?

    What would you do?

    hi all

    (links added above)

Fingers, It does say all over the Ishibashi (in broken english)
that fender japan products are only for Japan
but I emailed and got a quote and made it clear it was going to Ireland
and they sent me back a cost and are going to check avialiblity
of the models in question on Monday, so it seems okay?

the girl who answered my query had perfect english
(rachel aint the most japanese name I've ever heard!)

do you think she has made a boo-boo or wil I get away with it?

    ciao

I have to say i've never had any bad experiences with Ishi and it looks like that one on the Thomann link won't be available until the end of April

The guys at www.jag-stang.com/forum should be able to answer everthing...

Not sure if i'm allowed post links to other boards/forums...

Anyway. I would imagine that whichever you get, you may wish to replace the pickups. thats just going on what other people say.

    Interested in Jazzy's myself.

Hope it goes well for you.
